Echo Inc. enables you to be able to accept credit cards online via their online and virtual terminal program, along with the opportunity to use a terminal at any business location to accept Credit Cards in realtime.

ECHO Inc. uses their own bank for the actual merchant accounts, along with their own payment gateway services. They are a publicly held company and have been providing merchant account processing solutions since 1986.

Echo, Inc. provides solutions for Retail, Mail Order/Telephone Order, and Internet processing. They have over 60,000 clients in the United States, including well-known companies such as 3Com, U-Haul, Dollar General and Walgreens.

Here's what you will receive once you apply:

  • Your own merchant account, so you can accept Visa and MasterCard. You can also accept American Express and Discover, although those respective companies charge extra.
  • Order process conducted on your own web site (Internet Merchants only).
  • Your company name appears on customer's monthly credit card statement.
  • Customer support available from ECHO 24/7.
  • SSL technology makes online orders absolutely secure.
  • ECHOnet secure virtual terminal for manually typing customer credit card information via a web browser. Perfect for phone, fax, and snail mail orders from customers.
  • Accept checks online (optional).
With Echo merchant accounts, there are absolutely no Application fee, Statement fee, or Gateway fee attached to the merchant accounts. Unlike many other merchant accounts, there is also no Address Verification fee or Monthly Minimum. Authorize.net merchant accounts always have required a $25 monthly minimum each month. Although with ECHO merchant accounts, they do not have any monthly minimum of transaction amounts to process each month.

Pricing details:

  • Installation Fee: $99 One-Time
  • 2.11% - 2.61% Discount Fee (Internet, Virtual Terminal, Mail/Phone Orders)
  • 0.30 Cents per Credit Card transaction.
  • $19.95 Merchant America monthly fee.
  • 5 Free Chargebacks Per Month ($5 each thereafter).
There is a $19.95 monthly fee ONLY if you process credit card transactions in any one month period. However, if you do not process anything for a given month, there is absolutely no monthly charge at all. Simply put, if you don't process, you don't pay. No monthly minimums to meet or anything.

Merchant America provides easy online statement reporting and a free online shopping cart. As transactions occur, you would be able to view your statement online whenever you want. You wouldn't need to wait for your monthly paper statement in the mail. Also included is a free Shopping Cart called ECHOcart that is completely compatible with the Echo gateway.
